Why have jewelry made?
Imagine holding a piece of jewelry in your hand that was truly made just for you. Not a mass-produced piece. Not a compromise. But a truly unique piece – with meaning, history, and style. Your story. Your style. Maybe even your little obsession with orange stones or antique-looking textures (I get it, go for it, I'm in!).
A ring that reminds you of your new beginning. A necklace that has accompanied you through both difficult and wonderful times. A pendant with symbolic significance. And let's be honest – isn't that exactly the kind of jewelry you wear for a lifetime?
Whether you want to have rings made, a necklace made, or are looking for a unique, personal engagement ring – with me you get exactly that: jewelry that suits you and doesn't exist anywhere else.
When custom-made jewelry makes sense (spoiler: more often than you think)
A custom-made item isn't a whim. It's a decision. For individuality. For appreciation. And sometimes just because you feel like it. Here are a few pretty good reasons:
– … you've searched for that one ring a hundred times – and it simply doesn't exist except in your head.
– … you are looking for a gift that says MORE.
– … you have a vague idea, but can’t find the right piece anywhere (Pinterest gives you vibes, but no real results).
– … you want to capture a very special moment with a piece of jewelry – for example with unique wedding rings or an individual engagement ring.
– … you want to have a specific gemstone crafted – perhaps a find from your vacation or an heirloom with soul.
– … you have discovered a piece from my shop, but would like to change details: different color, metal, size, stone – go for it.
– … you have long dreamed of treating yourself to a piece that is as individual as you are – be it a unique ring, an eye-catching charm necklace or a pendant tailored to your own ideas.
In short: If you're looking for jewelry that expresses something, then it's time to have it made.
Having jewelry made - how does it work?
A custom piece from me isn't a trip to a jeweler's temple wearing white gloves. It's a creative process – uncomplicated, personal, appreciative. And a little exciting. Because it's all about you.
This is how it all works:
1. You write to me.
It's easy via email or form. Tell me what you have in mind – a few keywords, a photo (or many! I love inspiration!), an occasion, or simply "I'd like something with character." Just tell me as much as possible about yourself, the person you're giving the gift to, or anything else jewelry-related that comes to mind. Maybe you only like long necklaces, wear your rings on a specific finger, or don't want anything for yourself but want a dog tag made for your four-legged friend. Yes, you're laughing, but I've had that too – it was surprisingly fun! 😄
2. We chat.
Preferably by email, because firstly, I don't like talking on the phone, and secondly, I have everything to read over again via email, which is truly worth its weight in gold 😅 I'll ask questions and give you honest, expert feedback. (And sometimes even a little idea you might not have thought of yet.)
3. I design.
Sketches, material ideas, and concrete suggestions. You'll receive one or more design drafts, which we'll fine-tune together.
4. You decide.
You'll receive a transparent quote with a fixed price. No surprise surcharges. Only when everything is right for you—look, gemstones, materials, price—will I send you a quote. After payment, I'll begin creating your piece of jewelry.
5. I get to work.
With heart, hands, dedication, and a rather insignificant number of tools. Well, some people collect stamps, I collect tools... 🤷♀️
6. You can snooze
So - if you want! If not, I'll surprise you directly by mail! 🎁 Some parents don't want to know the sex of their baby (I would DIE with curiosity, but hey 🤷♀️).
But usually, your piece of jewelry goes to the photo table BEFORE the mailing table. There, I'll take some delicious pictures of your new piece and email them to you, so you can dance the joyful dance every morning for the next three days, while your colleagues ask you, very confused, how you can be in such an unbearably good mood on Monday morning. (At that point, feel free to tell them about me, Lules Piek, and your soon-to-be new piece of jewelry. I appreciate it 😏😄)
7. Your piece of jewelry is on its way.
Well packaged, with your very own story in your luggage – and ready to become a part of your life.
Materials & possibilities of jewelry making – what is possible
I work with:
– Silver , gold , bronze , copper and brass
– Gemstones – cut, raw, textured, colored, mysterious, cabochon or faceted – I find them all beautiful!
– Mixed media : fabrics, resins, prints, ribbons, found objects, modeling clay – for those who like things a little more unusual. I've worked with so many materials in my career as a jewelry designer and, quite simply, I've fallen in love with them all 🥰
– Surfaces with texture, symbols, engravings – for even more personality
Do you want unique earrings that look like they come from another time?
An eye-catching charm necklace with a little twist?
Or have your rings custom-made – as a set for you and your loved one?
Let's talk! 😏
And how much does a custom-made product cost?
Custom-made pieces start at €200. Why? Because you don't just get a product, but a thoughtful design, genuine craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and—most importantly—something unique. During this time, my undivided attention is solely for you and your piece of jewelry.
Larger designs, textured surfaces, more elaborate techniques, gemstones or gold can push the price up – but you always get:
– a clear offer in advance
– The price is fixed – no “Oops, but more” number
– full transparency
What you get isn't a "product." It's a unique piece—and a piece of you.
Timeframe: How long does it take to have jewelry made?
Please allow approximately 2 to 6 weeks from release.
Why so long? Because my attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship can't compete with Amazon Prime 😉
If you're in a hurry, let me know—sometimes I can kick the turbo on, push it a bit, and get your jewelry done faster.
A few more thoughts before you get started:
– A custom-made piece of jewelry is always unique – no returns like with standard products, but you do n’t get a standard one either.
– I only accept as many orders as I can complete with full attention – quality over quantity. Since there are only a limited number of spots available for jewelry creation, it's better to secure your spot sooner rather than later, as the creation process takes time.
– On the [Productions] page, you can view past commissions—including the little stories behind them. There you'll see what's possible (and what others have already dared to do).
